I highly recommend the Canon 40mm f2.8. It sits on my Canon 200D (I think it is the SL2 in the USA?), along with the 24mm f2.8. This is the setup I use for travelling – when you combine this body and one of these lenses, it might look bulky but it is actually lighter than comparable Fuji and Olympus setups. And it is only 9cm from the lens cap to the back of the camera body, so it can all be stuffed in to a pocket or backpack easily.
