With the 2015 Consumer Electronic Show taking place in Las Vegas right now, we are hearing all sorts of media buzz about new product announcements from top photo companies. See what exciting new photography products were just unveiled!

1. Nikon D5500

Nikon launched the new Nikon D5500, a compact and lightweight DSLR featuring built-in Wi-Fi, a touchscreen Vari-angle LCD display and an impressive 24.2-megapixel sensor for those looking to take their photos and HD video to the next level. The new body retails for $899.95 but comes in several kits, too. Nikon also launched the AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED VR II ($349.95) and the AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR ($1,999.95).

2. Canon Connect Station

In addition to several new Canon PowerShot models, Canon also announced its new Canon Connect Station CS100. The remote storage device uses Wi-Fi connectivity for 1 TB of remote storage on the go, and also accepts SD cards or a USB 2.0 connection. This storage hub can also be used for view your imagery on a monitor, transfer files to another mobile device, and send photos to a wireless printer. It will be available in the spring for $299.

3. Sony 4K Camcorder

Going all the way with 4K, Sony released a camcorder that will allow you preserve memories in ultra HD resolution with Balanced Optical SteadyShot image stabilization. It will sell for $1,099.99

4. Panasonic Lumix CM1

Shutterbugs who love the simplicity of only carrying a camera on their phone will be watching for a US release of the Panasonic Lumix CM1, which boasts a camera with a 20 megapixel sensor, manual controls, and a Leica 28mm f/2.8 lens. Rumors suggest the camera will hit the US sometime in the summer and retail for approximately $1,000. Panasonic also released five new Lumix compact cameras.

5. Fujifilm Zoom Lens

Fujifilm announced the release of a new fast zoom lens for its X-mount series of mirrorless cameras: the XF 16-35mm f/2.8 R LM WR lens. This lens, with its wide maximum aperture, weather resistant body, versatile zoom range, and fast autofocus, is sure to be popular with Fuji enthusiasts. The new lens will be available for $1,199.95.

6. Narrative Clip 2

The Narrative Clip 2 is a portable, wearable camera that lets you capture your life like nothing else. The tiny 8 megapixel camera can be clipped to your clothing (or maybe your dog!) and takes photos at set intervals throughout the day. It features 8 GB of storage, but when connected to Wi-Fi photos can be automatically uploaded to free up space. An associated Narrative app lets you have access to and share your photos easily. The Narrative 2 will retail for $199.
