When I started keeping a location log notebook, I wanted a way to instantly add pictures of my scouted locations. I researched instant cameras and really like the Fujifilm Instax 210 because of the wide pictures it takes and it’s affordable price tag ($79). When scouting locations you want to capture as much of the scene as possible, and the wide format of the Fujifilm 210 works perfectly. With easy-load film and minimal settings, it’s a very simple camera to operate. Just point, shoot, and wait. The film takes about one to two minutes to expose and once it’s done, I affix it to my notebook and can easily reference it when I’m selecting my next location.
This camera is also great for candid snaps of my family and our adventures. It’s quite a bit bigger than the Fujifilm Instax Mini so it’s a little more cumbersome to carry around, but my kids just love that a picture comes out of the camera immediately, and the anticipation that builds waiting for it to develop is almost more than they can handle!
