As a mom to four boys, I thought I would be in a world of dirt, bugs and trucks forever. When I found out that our family would be completed with our little girl, it opened up a whole new world of ruffles, frills and pretty dresses. I am notorious for not being able to go into a children’s clothing store without buying at least one dress for my daughter. My boys are just starting to catch on that their sister might just have double or triple the wardrobe that they do!
Here are some of my favorite places to shop for all of those ruffles, frills and pretty dresses.
1. I Love Gorgeous
If you have never checked out the selection of girls clothes at I Love Gorgeous’ online shop – head on over there! They have frilly dresses, oh-so-girly outfits and as you probably guessed, a gorgeous selection of everything girly. From special occasion dresses to flower girl dresses, they have just about everything you could need for your girl. Sizes are for ages 0-13 and complimentary accessories are available as well. It is a one stop shop and I wouldn’t be surprised if it became your new shopping addiction. They are based in the UK, but shipping to the US is very fast!
2. Zara
Zara is my go-to store for photo session dresses. My daughter always loves what I buy her there. Their selection is very girly and yet the clothing is styled to have a very classic, retro feel. From casual to dressy, they have the perfect summer dresses that photograph beautifully!
3. Tea Princess
Tea Princess is an Australian company known for their seasonal dress collections as well as their cotton and silk dress collections for girls. Some of their silk collection is sourced from beautiful vintage lace and no matter which line you choose; there are beautiful selections for any little girl. I love the soft, light colors and whether you need a dress for a special occasion or just because, I have no doubt you will be able to find something perfect here. Sizes are from newborn and up.
4. Posh Peanut Children’s Boutique
I purchased a flower girl dress from Posh Peanut Children’s Boutique on Etsy, not because my little girl needed it for a wedding, but because I hoped it would photograph nicely. Turns out I was right and I have used it several times in my photo sessions with my daughter. She loves her dress from Posh Peanut and her favorite thing to do is to twirl in it. It arrived quickly and I plan on buying more in a few more colors. Sizes from newborn and up.
